How to choose the size of the door for PAX wardrobe with extensions?
When planning your PAX wardrobe with extensions, you can consider which door size will be right for you. Below we show the variants that you can use.
In this variant, we will use an example where the height of the room is 280 cm. After reading our guide on how to choose the height of the extension for your PAX wardrobe, you already know that your extension will be 43 cm high. The height of the PAX wardrobe with the QOOD extension is 279 cm. The figure shows examples of door layouts along with their sizes.
Example A: standard height door for PAX wardrobe and separate door for the extension. The standard size of the PAX wardrobe door with a height of 236 cm is 229.4 cm, for a 43 cm high extension, we choose a door 3 mm smaller than this dimension, i.e. 42.7 cm high.
Example B: door covering the PAX wardrobe plinth and a separate door for the extension. The door covering the plinth for the wardrobe with a height of 236 cm is 234.4 cm high, for the extension we choose as in the example above - the door 42.7 cm high.
In this variant, we will use an example where the height of the room is 315 cm. After reading our guide on how to choose the height of the extension for your PAX wardrobe, you already know that they will be 40 cm and 38 cm high. The height of the PAX wardrobe is 236 cm with the QOOD extensions 314 cm. The figure shows examples of door layouts along with their sizes.
Example A: standard height door for PAX wardrobe and separate door for the top unit. The standard size of the PAX wardrobe door with a height of 236 cm is 229.4 cm, for a 40 cm high extension, we choose a door 3 mm smaller than this dimension, i.e. 39.7 cm, and for a 38 cm high extension, a 37.7 cm door. You can also choose one door for both extensions, 77.7 cm high (we deduct 3 mm from the total height of both extensions)
Example B: door covering the PAX wardrobe plinth and a separate door for the extension. The door covering the plinth for the wardrobe with a height of 236 cm is 234.4 cm high, for the extension we choose as in the example above - doors with a height of 39.7 cm and 37.7 cm, or one with a height of 77.7 cm.
In this variant, we will use an example where the height of the room is 255 cm. After reading our guide on how to choose the height of the extension for your PAX wardrobe, you already know that your extension will be 53 cm high. The height of 201 cm PAX wardrobe with the QOOD extension is 254 cm. The figure shows examples of door layouts along with their sizes.
Example A: standard height door for PAX wardrobe and separate door for the extension. The standard size of the PAX wardrobe door with a height of 201 cm is 194.4 cm, for a 53 cm high extension, we choose a door 3 mm smaller than this dimension, i.e. 52.7 cm high.
Example B: door covering the PAX wardrobe plinth and a separate door for the extension. The door covering the pedestal for a wardrobe with a height of 201 cm is 199.7 cm high, for the top unit we choose a door with a height of 52.7 cm, as in the example above.
Example C: full-height door with concealed plinth. In this example, we add up the height of the door covering the plinth and the door of the extension, and we get 252.4 cm.
Remember that standard doors and doors that cover the plinth are available in the doors for the PAX system tab. You can order doors for extensions by entering the appropriate dimensions in the form in the CUSTOM doors section. If you want us to prepare holes for hinges in them, just indicate in the notes to the order which door connects to a specific extension.
