To plan your wardrobe on the basis of IKEA PAX, we need to accurately measure the space in which we want to place it. Use the following instructions so that you will not miss the key elements:
1. Draw a sketch of the space on a piece of paper, as in the following examples.
2. Measure the height from floor to ceiling in several places and record the smallest in the drawing.
3. Measure the width of the available space in several places and record the smallest in the drawing.
4. Do not forget to mark points such as light switches or contacts on the drawing (especially if you plan lighting in the wardrobe!).
After measuring the space correctly, go to the PAX wardrobe wizard on the IKEA website and design your wardrobe. If you plan to install it under the ceiling, see our article on how to choose the height of the top unit for your PAX wardrobe.
