Use side masking panels that will be finished in the same color or decor as the fronts and create your dream piece of furniture based on BESTA cabinets. With a few simple steps and the right tools, you can easily install masking elements.
Step 1: Assemble the BESTA cabinet according to the IKEA instructions.
Step 2: Install the side panels
First, install the side panels. You will need a screwdriver or automatic screwdriver. Use the screws from the inside of the cabinet, thanks to which the connection between the panel and the cabinet will not be visible from the outside. We recommend screwing through the existing holes in the cabinet. Use screws in each corner and along the front edge - from 2 to 4 screws depending on the height of your structure. Use screws with a maximum length of 28mm.
Step 3: Install the top panel (and bottom panel if your design includes a bottom panel).
Place the panel against the top of the cabinet. Make sure the back edge of the panel is flush with the wall and the edges are flush with the side panels. Use screws from the inside of the BESTA cabinet.
Repeat this step for the bottom panel.
