The side of your PAX cabinet is visible? - apply a side masking panel, which will be finished in the same color as the doors. With a few simple steps and the correct tools, you can easily install the side panel.
Step 1: Make sure the PAX cabinet is installed correctly
Check that the cabinet stands stable. We recommend attaching the cabinet to the wall, especially if you plan to use QOOD extensions as well, getting the cabinet to the ceiling. Check that the cabinet is leveled and has the correct diagonals.
Step 2: Get your tools ready
Before you begin, make sure you have all the necessary tools. You'll need a drill- driver, screwdriver, level tool (for step 1) and 25mm screws. Longer screws may cause the side panel to be drilled through, causing a visible hole.
Step 3: Attach the side panel to the PAX cabinet
You will need some help for this step. Apply the side panel to the side of the cabinet. Make sure the back edge of the panel is against the wall. A second person should hold the panel, while you can move on to the next step.
Step 4: Screw the panel in position
Use screws from the inside of the PAX cabinet. This will ensure that the join between the panel and the cabinet will not be visible from the outside. We recommend screwing through the existing holes in the cabinet. Apply screws at each corner and along the front edge - 2 to 4 screws depending on the height of your cabinet.
Step 5: Repeat for other panels
If you have more than one side panel to install, repeat the previous steps for each panel.
