Today we present a unique project by Finchstudio. The apartment is located in a tenement in Warsaw's Praga district. The project has a graceful name honey & cinnamon, which brings to mind a cozy, warm and perfectly broken with unique accessories interior.
PROJECT ASSUMPTIONS
The project included the renovation of the entire interior. At first, the apartment consisted of 4 separate rooms. There was a separate kitchen, living room, bedroom and a small non-functional bathroom. One of the priorities was to create the bathroom in such a way as to improve the comfort of the tenants. A combination of a kitchen open to the living room was arranged, in favor of a bright and spacious bathroom. Looking at the result obtained, it was an excellent step.
LIVING ROOM
This is a spacious bright room with a spacious library housing the entire collection of books. The style that dominates is definitely timeless vintage. Also worth noting is the keeping of the original floorboard laid in a herringbone pattern. Furniture dating back to the prl era was used in this room. Most of them are recycled pearls - old chairs as well as armchairs, thanks to new upholstery created by a local craftsman, have taken on new life and brought soul to the room. Combined with a sofa in a shade of deep green and accessories in bold colors, the whole thing corresponds perfectly with each other and amazingly reflects the style of the 50,60's. In this living room definitely everyone can feel at home. There is an aura of uniqueness and perfectly fine details such as a modern lamp, or art in the form of posters by local artists. You can soak in this interior while sipping hot tea with honey and cinnamon.
KITCHEN
This is an integral part of the living room, arranged as a kitchen annex. The style of this room is consistent with the living room, while having its own character. The main theme is the wall panel, or carefully selected and composed tiles in the working area. The furniture in the kitchen was made of lacquered board. Meanwhile, elegant and durable oak wood was chosen for the countertop, which certainly adds a chic touch. Thanks to these solutions, we can share time with guests even while preparing meals.
BEDROOM
This is an oasis of peace. The place where the bed appears in the leading role and it is around it that all attention is focused. A large wooden one with a headrest in warm green, harmonizing with the shade of the walls in the upper part of the room. The designer's suggestion to paint the ceiling with a pull on a piece of the wall made the room feel cozy. Thanks to the unique accessories, such as the characteristic gold mirror and, as in the living room, original posters, the room is a coherent whole.
BATHROOM
This is a completely new room, which appeared in the apartment in a completely different way. Bright, spacious bathroom with a large window, definitely changed the quality of life. Dark retro-style tiles appeared on the walls and bathtub, and on the floor there is an original mosaic that perfectly harmonizes with the whole. The furniture and accessories are elegant simplicity, a cabinet that allows you to hide small stuff you need, a classic mirror in a black frame, and milky round lamps.
Certainly, the end result of this project will make you delighted. Every detail is well thought out and perfectly matched. For us, the most delightful thing is also the fact that the combination of timeless furniture with modern accessories can create such a unique atmosphere.
